Cancun International Airport is just 45 minutes north
of Playa del Carmen. From the Cancun Airport you have
four options for transportation to Playa del Carmen:

Bus |
Catch the local bus RIVIERA in front of the terminal
for about $8 US per person (65 pesos). Pay the driver
directly in either pesos or dollars.
RIVIERA buses are air conditioned and leave for Playa
del Carmen once an hour from 8:00am to 10:00pm. Once
you arrive at the Playa del Carmen bus terminal, a
taxi to Hotel Quinto Sol costs around $4 US (30 pesos). |

Rental Car |
It is best if you reserve a rental car prior to your
arrival. All the major rental companies service the
Cancun Airport. Check to see if your credit card includes
insurance before paying extra. To get to Hotel Quinto
Sol from the Cancun Airport, take the highway south
from the airport towards Playa del Carmen and Tulum.
When you get to Playa del Carmen, turn left on Avenida
Constituyentes, then turn left on 10th Avenue. |
